Risk Assessment:

1) When walking round with the camera, you would need to be careful because you might drop it or somebody could take it without you knowing

2) When moving with the tripod, I would need to be careful if the legs are fully extended because they are very flimsy and could snap if a fair amount of force is given to it, it could always hit somebody if you carry it wrong

3) The weather could effect you and the equipment used, for example; when using the camera outside at it happened to be raining, it might mess up the camera causing it to either break or mess up. For us, the weather could effect our manoeuvrability, different surfaces could become slippery making it very hard to walk somewhere, causing either you to hurt yourself or if you was carrying some equipment, you might drop it and break it

1) Café; We will need to find a café and ask permission to see if can film inside for somebody to act in. All they would need to do is sit in one position, looking out a window, for 10 seconds. Although it’s pretty quick, we would still need to ask permission to film inside.

2) Tool shop; In one of the scenes it looks like a man standing inside of a tool shop. We would have to find somewhere and ask if we could quickly film somebody standing in one position for 10 seconds.

3) Petrol Station; there is a quick scene where one of the characters is standing in a petrol station filling up a car with petrol. I have a car which is petrol so we could go to a petrol station and make it look like I am filling up my car.

4) Florist; There is a scene where a girl is cleaning the window of a florist, we would have to ask permission to ask if we could pretend to be cleaning a window whilst the camera was inside of the shopping filming out of the window.

5) College; If we can’t find these locations, or happen to run out of time, we would just have to use the College as much as we could, around different places or around the Media Block.

The Stranglers – Golden Brown

I chose this picture as one of the videos we might be able to swede because some parts of the video would be fairly easy to do. The camera angles would be pretty easy to do but the locations would be very hard to do. It has a very old style to it which night be hard to do because I wouldn’t know where to require some of the old clothing so it would mean I would have to do a lot of researching around to find something similar. However this only being a swede, we wouldn’t have to wear the exact same style in the video. Same as the piano, we would only have to use a little keyboard.

Adam & The Ants – Prince Charming

I chose this video for us to possibly swede because the acting, locations and camera angles are pretty easy to do. All we would need to make this video would be to have a lot of actors to dance. We would be able to do this in the tv studio. The camera angles would be easy to do and re-creating the characters would also be easy to do because all it is, is makeup and costumes.

Yogscast Cover Of Y.M.C.A – M.I.L.K

I chose this animated music video as an idea I might do if I decided to make an animated music video. I chose this one because it seemed the simplist because of the art style used and simple voice recordings. They actually recorded this by dragging there voices off of a podcast they recorded not long before this animation was made. After dragging it off they remixed it to make it sound like a song, such as repeating some of the lyrics. They created there own beat to the song they was covering because they couldn’t take the original because of copyright.

The Kooks – Naive

I decided to select this music video because it looked fairly easy to do and learn. Most of the video is just the main character singing close up to the camera walking. We wouldn’t need many actors to do this but we would need loads of people for when they are in the club. You wouldn’t need much lighting for this because most of it is quite dark. Some of the locations are in a house which would be pretty easy to do.

Greenday – Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)

We decided this video would be pretty good to swede because it’s fairly simple. The camera shots involved would be easy to do and the acting within the video would also be do-able. we wouldn’t have to do every single part of each character correctly, but we could do most of them by just finding or making our own props to do with that particular scene. The lyrics are fairly simple to learn and it isn’t hard to understand at all.
In the video, the main character is playing the guitar. This would be easy to copy because you wouldn’t actually have to play the guitar correctly. You would only just have to look like you are playing the guitar. We wouldn’t even have to have a real guitar but it would look at a lot better if we did.

The Lumineers – Ho Hey

I chose this video as one of my options to swede because it was fairly simple to do. This is because the people within the video are just walking up through a corridor playing instruments and singing. The lighting is important because it gives the video a certain feeling. finding a location for this could be easy because we could just use the corridor in the media block in college. There are quite a few props used within the video but they could be fairly easy to acquire. We could either but them from a shop or make them by hand. Because it’s a swede, we only have to act within the video and don’t actually have to make the music so if somebody was going to be the character with the guitar, they wouldn’t actually have to play the song right, they would just have to look like they are playing it. Also because it’s low budget, we wouldn’t have to use a real guitar, although it would look far better and realistic.

The camera-work used is quite simple with the wide close ups and long shots. The camera actually moves like it’s hand held, not on a tripod. This could be done with one of the SD Cameras quite easily.

Rebecca Black – Friday

I chose this as one of the videos to swede because it seems fairly easy to do. The camera-work is pretty simple and the locations seem do-able. Some parts of the video would need a green-screen which wouldn’t be hard to achieve because there is one to use in the TV Studio. There is a car that needs to be used in the video, I myself have a car but it isn’t a convertable but because it’s swede this wouldn’t really matter. We could either use my car or make one ourselfs quickly.
The lyrics wouldn’t be hard to learn at all because it is such a catchy song. There isn’t much acting at all apart from standing in one place, looking into the camera saying the lyrics.
